Why Faith For U Today Exists
Life has a way of confronting us with questions that cannot always be answered by a quick inspirational quote or a few encouraging words. We wonder why God allows suffering, how we can know that we are truly saved, what it means to live faithfully in a changing culture, and how the promises of Scripture apply when our circumstances seem anything but promising.
Some questions are theological. Others emerge from our marriages, families, friendships, careers, personal failures, and unexpected losses. Often, the two are closely connected.
We believe theology belongs in the middle of ordinary life. It is not merely an academic pursuit reserved for seminaries, pastors, or those who enjoy complicated religious debates. Every Christian has beliefs about God, whether those beliefs have been carefully examined or not. The important question is whether our understanding has been shaped by what God has actually revealed in His Word.
That is why Faith For U Today exists. We want to make sound biblical theology understandable without stripping away its depth, and we want to encourage Christians to think carefully about what they believe and how those beliefs influence the way they live.
We do not pretend to have an answer to every question, nor do we expect everyone who visits to agree with us on everything. We are fellow learners, continually dependent upon the grace of God. But we believe that the Bible gives us a trustworthy foundation for understanding who God is, who we are, and where our hope must ultimately rest.
What We Believe and Why We Believe It
Faith For U Today is rooted in historic Protestant Christianity and the Reformed theological tradition. This is not because we believe a particular theological label makes someone more faithful or more deserving of God’s favor. Rather, we are persuaded that the central convictions of the Reformation faithfully express what Scripture teaches about God, humanity, sin, salvation, and the Christian life.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God. It is the final standard by which our teaching and beliefs must be tested. As 2 Timothy 3:16–17 teaches, Scripture is given by God and equips His people for faithful living. Traditions, teachers, confessions, and theological writings can help us understand the Bible, but none of them stands above it.
We believe in the one true and living God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is sovereign over His creation, perfectly holy, infinitely wise, righteous in all His judgments, and abundant in mercy. We believe human beings were created in His image, yet through sin we have fallen short of His glory and cannot restore ourselves to a right relationship with Him through our own goodness or religious accomplishments.
Most importantly, we believe salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. The eternal Son of God took on human nature, lived in perfect obedience, died for sinners, and rose bodily from the grave. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He accomplished what we could never accomplish for ourselves. We are justified by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, not through the merit of our own works. As Ephesians 2:8–10 reminds us, salvation is God’s gift, and the good works that follow are its fruit rather than its price.
These convictions are often summarized by the five solas of the Reformation: Scripture alone, grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone, and glory to God alone. They are not merely historical slogans. They remind us where our authority comes from, why salvation is possible, whom we must trust, and who deserves the glory.
We also believe that the Christian life does not end with conversion. Those who belong to Christ are called to grow in holiness, love their neighbors, serve one another, pursue truth, repent of sin, and persevere in faith. This growth is not something we manufacture through sheer determination. It is the gracious work of God in His people, through His Spirit and the ordinary means He has given us, including His Word, prayer, the fellowship of believers, and the ministry of the local church.
We hold these beliefs because we believe they are taught in Scripture. And while our theological convictions are important, we never want them to become an excuse for pride, harshness, or treating those who disagree with us as enemies. Truth matters, but so does the way we speak it. Our hope is that sound doctrine will produce humble worship, grateful obedience, genuine love, and a deeper dependence upon Christ.
Explore the Ministries of Faith For U Today
One of the purposes of redesigning this website was to bring our different ministries and resources together in a way that makes them easier to discover and enjoy. Each ministry has its own character and intended audience, but they all share one purpose: to make the truth of God’s Word more accessible and encourage faithful Christian living.
Deep End Theology — A Faith For U Today Podcast
For those who enjoy thoughtful conversations about Scripture, doctrine, Christian ethics, and the difficult questions facing believers, Deep End Theology is our primary podcast.
Some subjects deserve more than a quick answer. We explore the reasoning behind theological convictions, examine important biblical passages, consider historical Christian teaching, and discuss what these truths mean for life today. Topics include salvation, Reformed doctrine, moral responsibility, the Ten Commandments, and challenging questions about the Christian faith.
The goal is not to make theology unnecessarily complicated. It is to help listeners move beyond simply knowing what Christians believe toward understanding why those beliefs matter.
Our podcast library also includes series collections, supporting articles, and additional study resources. Members can access bonus material, while our premium membership provides early access to upcoming content.
FFUT: Theology for Everyday Life
Not everyone begins their Christian journey with a strong understanding of biblical doctrine, and that is perfectly understandable. Theology for Everyday Life was created with those learners in mind.
This podcast approaches foundational Christian beliefs in a conversational and approachable way. Topics such as the Gospel, justification, sanctification, the church, and the character of God are explained with an emphasis on clarity and practical application.
Although this podcast is currently on hiatus, its existing episodes remain an opportunity for new believers, curious visitors, and anyone who wants to revisit the foundations of the Christian faith.
Bible on Beat — Scripture Through Music
The Bible is filled with extraordinary accounts of faith, failure, courage, sorrow, deliverance, and redemption. Bible on Beat explores these biblical events through music, using different musical styles and perspectives to invite listeners to reflect upon the stories of Scripture.
You will discover music inspired by the Old and New Testaments, including the Torah, the historical books, the Psalms, the Prophets, and the Gospels. The styles vary because people connect with music in different ways, but the intention remains consistent: to direct attention back to God’s Word.
Our newly designed music archive makes it easier to browse collections and discover lyric videos. Whether you prefer listening, watching, or simply exploring a familiar biblical event from a different perspective, we hope the music encourages you to return to Scripture itself.
FFUT Publishing — Encouraging Faith Through the Written Word
Books and carefully developed written materials can help us think through important questions at a pace that conversations and short videos do not always allow. FFUT Publishing is our home for Christian books and written resources designed to encourage theological understanding, biblical reflection, and practical discipleship.
Our hope is to develop materials that are thoughtful without being inaccessible, faithful to Scripture without being needlessly technical, and useful for people who want to grow in their knowledge and love of God.
A Growing Library of Articles and Free Resources
Alongside our ministries, we are developing an Articles Library where you can explore topics ranging from Christian doctrine and biblical interpretation to personal growth, cultural challenges, and everyday discipleship. Many articles accompany our podcast series, while others address subjects that deserve attention in their own right.
We have also organized a Resources section to help visitors discover free Christian books, theological articles, Bible study tools, church-finding resources, and sources of Christian support. Rather than forcing everyone to search endlessly for useful materials, we want to make it easier to find a good starting point.
These collections will continue to expand. We hope you will return regularly, explore subjects that interest you, and perhaps encounter something that challenges you to examine Scripture more carefully.
Of course, no website, article, podcast, or online resource can replace the importance of belonging to a faithful local church. We want our resources to complement the teaching, worship, fellowship, and pastoral care found within the body of Christ, not compete with them.
More Than a Website: An Invitation to Community
There is one part of this renewed vision that means a great deal to us, and it may be the most important invitation we extend.
We do not want Faith For U Today to become simply another website where people arrive, consume information, and leave without making any meaningful connection. We would love to see a community grow here, made up of people who want to know Christ better and encourage one another along the way.
We want conversations about Scripture and theology, including honest questions and thoughtful disagreements. There should be room to talk about things we are still trying to understand, to share something we recently learned, or to admit that a particular passage has challenged the way we think.
But Christian fellowship should also make room for ordinary life.
Perhaps you are grieving the loss of someone you love and need a sympathetic ear. Maybe your marriage or family is going through a difficult season, your faith feels weak, or you are carrying worries that are hard to explain. You may be facing unemployment, loneliness, disappointment, or simply the weariness that comes from trying to keep going when life has not turned out as expected.
We want people to be able to speak about those struggles with dignity and to encounter compassion rather than judgment. Sometimes the most encouraging thing another believer can offer is not an immediate answer, but the willingness to listen, pray, and remind us that we do not have to bear every burden alone.
At the same time, we want room for joy. Tell us about the funny thing your child said, the unexpected blessing you received, the meal that went terribly wrong, the family adventure that became a story you will tell for years, or the simple moment that made you smile. Share a testimony, a prayer request, a favorite passage, or something you have been learning in your walk with Christ.
Friendships are not built exclusively through serious conversations. They often grow through laughter, shared experiences, kindness, patience, and the ordinary exchange of life’s little moments.
Galatians 6:2 calls believers to bear one another’s burdens, while Romans 12:15 reminds us to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. Both belong to Christian fellowship. We are not meant to carry only one another’s sorrows; we are also meant to celebrate God’s kindness together.
Our desire is to cultivate that kind of community, with conversations shaped by biblical truth, humility, mutual respect, and genuine care.
We are still developing the ways visitors and members will be able to interact, participate, and build relationships through the website. As those opportunities become available, we hope you will take part. A community worth belonging to is not created by technology alone. It grows when people choose to treat one another with patience, honesty, compassion, and love.
Come In, Look Around, and Make Yourself at Home
So consider this your invitation.
Explore the website. Listen to a podcast episode. Discover some new music. Read an article about a subject you have been wondering about. Find a helpful book, revisit a familiar biblical passage, or explore one of our free resources. If you would like to participate more closely as the community develops, we invite you to join our free membership.
You do not need an advanced theological education to belong here. You do not need to know all the right terminology or arrive with every question settled. Whether you are a longtime believer, someone newly converted, a person returning to the faith after a difficult season, or simply curious about Christianity, we hope you will find something worthwhile.
We will not always agree on every secondary theological issue, and we certainly will not get everything right. When correction is needed, we want to receive it humbly. When disagreement arises, we want to approach it charitably. And when someone is hurting, we want compassion to matter more than winning an argument.
At the heart of everything is the conviction that our greatest need is not a better website, a larger audience, or even a stronger community. Our greatest need is Jesus Christ.
A website can offer information. A podcast can explain doctrine. A song can stir reflection, and a friend can offer encouragement. These can all be good gifts, but none of them can save us. Only Christ can reconcile sinners to God, and only in Him do we find the forgiveness, righteousness, and lasting hope we need.
That is where we want this entire ministry to lead.
Thank you for visiting the renewed Faith For U Today. We are grateful for the opportunity to share these resources and for every person who chooses to become part of this growing community.
May what we learn lead us to worship, may what we believe shape how we live, and may the friendships formed along the way encourage us to remain faithful to the One who has called us.
Our hope is simple: that together we would grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), trusting in Christ alone and giving all glory to God.
Welcome to Faith For U Today.
Faithful to His Word. Growing in His Grace. All for His Glory.
