One of THE most asked questions by Christian believers is about knowing God’s will for their lives, and this often related to career or marriage decisions.

Christians pray earnestly for answers to these significant questions, but their prayers often come with presuppositions.

If you’re asking about God’s will, it might mean you haven’t spent enough time with Him to understand it. The more time you spend with God, the less you’ll need to ask about His will—you’ll already know it. Time with God leads to understanding His desires and expectations.

So, the next time you ask about God’s will, consider if you are not really seeking confirmation for an answer you’ve already decided in your heart, or if you are genuinely seeking His guidance. If the latter is the case, then God’s will for you is to spend time with your Creator. Get to know the One who knows your future.

Instead of fighting with temptation, channel your energy into doing something positive or good for someone else. The more this becomes a habit, the more temptation becomes a positive act rather than a precursor to sin. Temptation thrives on attention. The more you struggle, fight, think about or play with temptation, the more powerful and stronger it gets. Ignore temptation, do good, and it will flee.

Sin and shame keeps our heads bowed down. Interestingly, we do the same when we pray. The connection? Humility. A proud heart dows not bow, nor does a wicked heart. But a humble heart recognizes its need for help. When we pray, we are seeking help. Humility is the key to approaching God. This is done through Jesus Christ. Look up with a humble heart, and look at the cross of Christ for your salvation.

(Read Luke 14:11 for more guidance.)

Have you ever wondered why you sin? I mean if you have received Jesus Christ as your lord and Savior, then why do you still sin? Shouldn’t you be free from sin? Isn’t that what Jesus promised in the Bible? Have you ever wondered why sin is so hard to overcome? In other words, why do Christians continue to sin? Didn’t Jesus say you we would be free from sin?

Yes, He did. He gave us the ability to say no to sin and freed us from sin’s penalty, which is death.

However, we aren’t free from sin’s presence—not until we enter Heaven. The sin you struggle with today, has been paid for on the cross of Christ. You are just living out your sinful human condition. Your sins of your past. Present, and future have all been paid for in Christ if you have faith in Him. All means all.

Don’t be surprised that you still sin. This is why He came. This is why He died. You are a sinner, and this is why He loves you.

How can we show God how much we love Him?
Have you ever wondered what it means to love God? I mean, how do you love…God? Is it a deep emotional feeling for God? Is it serving and obeying God? When we feel love for another person such as a child or family and friends, we can communicate our love to them because we can see and hear them. Yet how do you love an invisible God who is audibly silent? How do we show Him that we love Him?
The Bible answers this in one word: through and to “others.”
How you treat the people around you, are opportunities for you to show God how much you love Him. What does this means? For example, helping the poor and needy, showing kindness to the unkind, loving your enemies. These are all acts God takes personal and receives your love. So the next time someone cuts you off on the road to work, or talks about you behind your back, show God how much you love Him.

It’s tough when a loved one doesn’t share your Christian faith. You want them to experience the life-changing grace you’ve found. But negative reactions can be discouraging.

Remember, your primary goal is to love them, not convert them. Focus on your relationship with God and trust in His timing.

This is a test of faith. Are you willing to submit to God’s will, even if it means your loved one never believes?

Abraham, Job, and even Jesus faced similar trials. These moments refine your faith. Let God work in you. Trust in His goodness and sovereignty. If prayer feels ineffective, simply trust in who God is.

We often feel discontent because we’ve convinced ourselves we need more. This creates a sense of lack and a desire to control the situation, making us impatient with God’s timing.

True contentment comes from patience, not accumulation. God provides all good things, but in His time. This builds our faith.

Next time you feel discontent, remember: “Not never, just not now.” Long for God as deeply as you long for that desired thing.

Have you ever wondered why God chose, out of all possibilities, to sacrifice His Son on a cross? Why the cross? Was it just because of the form of capital punishment during the time, or could there be another reason? The last image God wants us to see and remember of His Son is that of Him with His arms stretched out far and wide. Not only stretched, but nailed open so it cannot be closed. The image of Jesus we see and remember is that of Him on the cross welcoming you and me. When you die and meet Jesus, He will be there with His arms open to you, no longer nailed, but ready to embrace. No other religion comes close to portraying love the way Jesus Christ has, by offering up Himself as a sacrifice so that you may know Him, believe in Him, and trust Him. God gave up His most precious belonging, His own child, for you so that you can live. Mohammed never did this, nor did Buddha. Only God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 3:16)

Faith For U Today

Why Theology Matters (Now More Than Ever)

Hey friend, I’m so glad you’re here. I started Faith for U Today because I know how overwhelming life can sometimes feel. There’s just so much coming at us — news, social media, everybody’s opinions. It’s easy to feel confused, lost, or even wonder if faith still has a place in all of it.

Maybe you’ve even thought,
“Does learning about God really change anything?”
I’m here to tell you — it absolutely does.

Theology (which is just a fancy word for learning about God) isn’t something only pastors or scholars need. It’s for everyday people like you and me — people who are trying to figure out how to live, love, and make sense of this crazy world.

When you start really getting to know God:

  • Your view of life changes — you start seeing God’s fingerprints everywhere.

  • Your choices change — you learn to trust Him even when life is hard.

  • Your heart changes — you find a kind of hope and peace you didn’t even know was possible.

I’m not sharing this as someone who has it all figured out. I’m still learning too.

But I can tell you this — theology has transformed my life.
And it can transform yours too.

This blog is here to make it simple. No pressure, no heavy theology textbooks. Just real conversations, real answers, and real faith that stands strong — even when life gets messy.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing to start.

Grace in the Parking Lot

What if the hardest questions about faith found their answers in the most ordinary places? In Grace in the Parking Lot, theologian and author Steven Y. Pak brings readers into a deeply personal and thought-provoking story of grace, doubt, and discovery. Set in the stillness of a church parking lot, two men—one a believer, the other a skeptic—wrestle with life’s biggest questions about God’s sovereignty, salvation, and human choice.

Practical Theology

Parenting with Theology in a Confusing World

Parenting isn’t just about rules—it’s about shaping hearts for Christ. What we believe about God guides how we teach, discipline, and love our children. Trusting His sovereignty gives peace; knowing His grace helps us show it. Sound theology equips us to raise kids who follow Jesus in a world pulling them away.

Helping Teens Build a Faith That Lasts

Teens today face constant doubts and pressures—but practical theology gives them a firm foundation. When they see faith as a real relationship with a loving God, not just a list of rules, it becomes personal. Knowing who God is and why Scripture matters helps them face life’s challenges with confidence. A faith built on truth doesn’t just survive—it thrives.

It’s Time to Wake Up Christian

Feeling stuck in your faith? Maybe you’ve grown comfortable—drifting, stagnant, or just coasting. But Jesus didn’t call us to halfhearted belief; He called us to follow Him fully. If your faith feels weak or sin has crept in, it’s time to wake up. Theology isn’t just for scholars—it’s for you. A shallow faith won’t stand against life’s pressures. Dig into God’s truth, confront your doubts, and surrender completely.

Apologetics

The Problem of Evil and Suffering: Where Is God in Our Pain?

“If God is good, why does He allow suffering?” It’s one of the hardest questions people ask—and Christianity doesn’t avoid it. The Bible never denies evil but offers what no other belief system can: real hope. God is at work even in our pain. Through Jesus, we see that He didn’t just allow suffering—He entered into it, taking it on Himself at the cross to bring redemption. The question isn’t just why suffering exists, but where we turn when it comes. In Christ, pain has purpose—and hope never dies.

The Reliability of the Bible: A Solid Foundation for Faith

Can we trust the Bible? In a skeptical world, that question sits at the heart of faith. If Scripture isn’t true, Christianity collapses—but if it’s God’s Word, it stands as our ultimate authority. The Bible isn’t just ancient writing; it’s proven, consistent, and life-changing. Its prophecies fulfilled, its message steady, its impact unmatched. Your faith isn’t blind—it’s built on truth. Scripture is trustworthy, unshakable, and worthy of full confidence.

Science and Faith: Enemies or Partners in Truth?

Can a Christian believe in both God and science? Absolutely. Faith and science aren’t rivals—they reveal the same truth from different angles. The more we study creation, the more we see design and order pointing to a Creator. From the fine-tuned universe to the complexity of DNA, science displays God’s fingerprints. Christianity isn’t anti-science—it’s the reason science makes sense. Honest discovery only deepens our awe of the One who made it all.

Biblical Theology

The Old Testament: Foundations of Biblical Theology

In these stories of Abraham, Sarah, David, Esther, Paul, and Mary, we see God’s character, promises, and redemption unfold. Biblical theology connects their journeys to ours, reminding us that the same God who guided them is still at work in our lives today.

The Story of Redemption: God’s Plan from Beginning to End

The Bible isn’t a set of random stories—it’s one sweeping story of God redeeming His people. From creation to the cross to the new creation, every part connects. You’ll see how sin broke the world, how God’s promises pointed to a Savior, and how Jesus fulfilled it all. This isn’t just history—it’s the story that changes your life.
